Yarn Whore....What is a "yarn whore?" Well, I can't say that I coined the term, however, to me, a yarn whore is a person who loves to create with yarn.

Within the past few years I have learned to knit, and, have dabbled in crochet.

I became interested in knitting years ago; I have always been a creative person and have always enjoyed creating things. I don't know what exactly sparked my interest in knitting, but I do know it was in part due to the frustrations of not being able to find the types of things I wanted for myself and my kids. I decided if I couldn't buy the items I was interested in, I'd make them!

And so began my journey into knitting. I learned to knit by reading books (mainly Debbie Stoller's "Stitch N Bitch") and watching "how-to" videos on knittinghelp.com.

At first it was a frustrating process; I thought there was no way I'd ever learn all I needed to be a successful knitter, however, with determination, I succeeded. I'm not going to say I am now an expert knitter, but I know enough to create some pretty suave things, and, teach others the basics of knitting.
